Construction: editing

Our first step when we started to edit was to add all the clips we were using in our opening in the order we wanted to do so we could, get a rough idea of what it was going to look like and what we needed to o in order to make it as good as possible. We spent 30 minutes inserting all the clips and watched a rough edit to see what needed changing and what we needed to do to make it work.

We also left gaps for titles, these titles were requested by our audience as they told us that adding title would improve our film also adding titles would make the opening look more professional. And to decide what titles to use we looked at our research into the importance of opening titles to see what we needed to include in our titles.

We looked at range of fonts for use to as our titles to see which one looked the most appealing, and out of the fonts seen in this screen shot we chose Nanum brush script as we found it looked the best and that it fits with the theme of our film as it looks old fashioned.

After this we added sound which we embedded from Youtube. Our main aim was to make timings appropriate so when an actor made  a specific action such as fall over or take a step the tempo of the music will sync with their action. We also had several sounds at once so we had to make sure one was not louder than another.

Finally, we had to improve the quality in some of our clips as some of our clips were to dark so this meant that it wasn't very clear and was hard to see. So we went in to the editing settings and increased the brightness of the settings to make sure that it was clear  to see, which boosted the quality of the shot and made it clearer to see was going on in that shot.
